Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Merced, CA. This role offers flexible, anchor-based hours with the potential to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas and parking.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, delivery verification, and maintaining a professional presence to deter theft and unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Merced, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, parking areas, receiving zones, and perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, delivery verification, and maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter theft and unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
