Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

• Background check conducted as required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a luxury retail location while following security procedures and site policies.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exits, and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, reporting unusual conditions or incidents as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Assist in maintaining an inviting, professional environment by giving directions and documenting security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Retail Shop in East Hampton, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a luxury retail location while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, exits, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Assist with maintaining an inviting, professional environment by providing directions, supporting customer flow, and documenting security‑related activities accurately.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
