Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies; assist with emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe and report suspicious activity, and help maintain orderly conditions.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation per Allied Universal procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Patrolin Marina Del Rey, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a premier commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms as needed. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, observe and report suspicious activity, and assist with maintaining orderly conditions throughout the location.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
