Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services U.S. is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA.

The role focuses on monitoring surveillance feeds, identifying threats, and reporting incidents with a keen eye for detail. We offer a set schedule of 32 hours per week with the first shift running 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, an hourly wage of $18.50, and a benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) with matching, holidays, disability coverage, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• You are authorized to work in the U.S.
• You have a High School Diploma or GED
• You hold a BSIS Guard Card license and complete 32hr BSIS trainings
• You are at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license
• You can write detailed reports and maintain records
• You demonstrate strong observation, focus and tech aptitude

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity

• Patrol on foot or by vehicle and secure premises

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalte in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols on foot or with company vehicle,to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Guard

• You are authorized to work in the U.S.
• You are able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• You have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• You are at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
