Osceola County Tax Collector is seeking a security professional to safeguard staff, the public, and office property. This entry-level position requires carrying a firearm and following use-of-force procedures to ensure safety.

Responsibilities include enforcing access control, reporting incidents, detaining suspects when necessary, and coordinating with law enforcement. You will participate in defensive tactics training and maintain calm, professional conduct during daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and ability to perform physically demanding security work in a high-traffic office environment.
• Valid Class G Firearm Permit and Class D Security Officer License are required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
• Must possess a Florida Driver License.
• No felony or perjury-related misdemeanor convictions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and safeguard employees, the public, and property.
• Lead an orderly evacuation during emergencies.
• Monitor and report observations or incidents to supervisors.
• Detain suspects and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Prepare security and incident reports.
• Answer public questions and provide general information throughout the day.
