Position Details

This part-time, third-shift security role involves maintaining a safe environment for residents, visitors, staff, and property. The position is based at The Cypress of Charlotte, offering a pay range of $15.00/hr with a $1.50 shift differential, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct scheduled rounds inside and outside the buildings.
  2. Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls.
  3. Build rapport with residents, visitors, and staff to ensure security needs are met.
  4. Assist with special security needs as they arise.
  5. Write incident reports as needed.
  6. Maintain safe entry points and clear walkways, especially during snowstorms.
  7. Perform duties as prioritized by supervisor.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to read and follow instructions.
  3. Ability to make quick decisions according to protocol.
  4. Willingness to undergo first responder and first aid training.
  5. Preferably one year of security experience.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and compliance regulations.
  7. Teamwork skills.
