Job summary

Associa is seeking a Security Officer to maintain the security of our properties. You will patrol, monitor access, and respond to incidents to prevent theft, vandalism, and safety violations. You may assist guests with information and directions and ensure proper parking regulations are enforced.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, and a Location Specific License may be required. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating with emergency services

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
• Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and emergency situations.
• Make periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.
• Greet incoming guests and tenants, providing information regarding the site and surrounding area as requested by visitors.
• Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations.
• Perform fire prevention, safety and maintenance tasks and parking/traffic enforcement.
• Other duties as assigned.
