Amentum is seeking a Probationary Security Officer out of Las Vegas, NV to provide static perimeter security and roving security patrols for a security project. Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform daily protective security functions as specified in post and detail orders.
• Carry and operate weapons as specified or upon orders from the shift leader.
• Guard the security site against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and unlawful attacks.
• Patrol the premises to ensure proper security.
• Verify and identify persons entering the site.
• Inspect and properly store equipment.
• Develop incident reports for attacks, damage, theft, or unusual occurrences; investigate disturbances; maintain order during emergencies.
• Follow the Chain of Command appropriately.
• Identify personal and work-related problems early to prevent operational impact.
• Act in accordance with the company Ethics Program.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Previous security experience; probationary service time of 1-180 days.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to obtain a DOD Top Secret security clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph; US citizenship required.
• Effective communication skills with executives, clients, and employees.
• Compliance with AFI 31-117, Arming and Use of Force by Air Force Personnel.
• Valid driver's license.
• Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
• Qualify with contract-required weapons systems.
• Pass medical and background investigations as required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Must meet physical requirements, work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, and be available for outside normal hours. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods.
