Job summary

Bothwell Regional Health Center seeks a Security Officer to protect patients, staff, visitors, and assets. The role reports to the Director of Security and requires patrolling, incident reporting, and quick emergency response. Candidates should have a high school diploma, an associate degree preferred, BLS certification, and 21+ years old.

Firearms cert training is expected within 3 months. Experience in law enforcement, security or the military is strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass certification course in firearms within 3 months of hire.
• Attend, complete and/or certify on training required by the BRHC Director of Security or BRHC Leadership.
• BLS required.
• 2+ years’ experience in law enforcement, security or the military strongly encouraged.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Secures the premises by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers.
• Investigates and writes reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, safety and fire hazards, and other security related situations.
• Provides needed assistance to patients, employees, and visitors following department procedures.
• Immediately responds to emergencies to secure the area and provide necessary assistance.
• Works efficiently under pressure in an empathetic, positive, and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
