The Security Officer ensures a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, and property by patrolling facilities, responding to emergencies, and enforcing access control procedures. This role supports patient care and operational reliability by preventing and responding to safety and security incidents in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.
Associate degree or higher in criminal justice, security management, or a related field. Experience in a healthcare security setting. International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic or Advanced certification. Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
