Job summary

Kettering Health Hamilton is seeking a Police Officer to ensure a safe, secure environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will provide law enforcement services, respond to emergencies, and enforce hospital policies while supporting care and operations through proactive patrols and incident response.

Qualification includes a high school diploma or equivalent, OPOTA and BLS certifications, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and bi-annual firearms qualifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • OPOTA certification required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • OPOTA certification required.
  • BLS certification required within six months of hire.
  • Non-violent crisis intervention training within six months of hire.
  • Firearms qualification at least bi-annual.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and pass a physical exam.

Responsibilities

  • Provide law enforcement services to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Respond to emergencies and enforce hospital policies and laws.
  • Conduct proactive patrols to maintain safety and operational reliability.
  • Support patient care and hospital operations through incident response.
  • All duties aligned with Kettering Health's mission and B Safe program.
