Job summary

Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui seeks a Security Officer to provide security, emergency and first aid assistance. You will implement security policies, guide staff on safety procedures, and educate new colleagues on safety and security practices.

Responsibilities include training new officers, documenting incidents, and maintaining Lost & Found procedures, with patrols and collaboration with the Engineering department for lock repairs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training.
• Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset.

• Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues.
• Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided.
• Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs.
• Conduct foot and vehicle patrols.

Hourly Rate: $29.93

Shift: Overnight shifts

What you will be doing:

Schedule:

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training

Experience

• Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset

Licenses or Certificates (must be provided within 48 hours of an employment offer)

• State of Hawaii Guard Card
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean Driver’s Abstract
• CPR/First Aid Certification
