Position: Security Officer

Location: MiraVista, Holyoke, Massachusetts

As a Security Officer, you will perform general security duties to protect persons and property, enforce policies, and comply with applicable laws to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. Responsibilities include opening the facility, operating the metal detector, checking IDs, maintaining order, crowd control, monitoring the parking lot, and documenting any combative behavior. You will ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff on the hospital campus, and respond appropriately to emergency procedures and codes.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. High school diploma
2. Minimum of one (1) year experience in security or police functions
3. Excellent depth perception and peripheral vision
4. Ability to hear machinery sounds, alarms, cries for help, and traffic noises without night blindness
5. Ability to produce concise and accurate reports
6. Physical ability to assist with patient restraint during crisis interventions and problem-solving independently
