Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer for per diem coverage with varied shifts, including weekends and nights. The role involves ensuring safety and security for staff, patients and visitors, and overseeing the Security Operations Center as needed.

A strong emphasis on fire prevention and rapid response is required. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; hospital experience and valid driver’s license are preferred.

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; driving record in good standing.

As a Security Officer you will:

• The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. Is responsible for fire prevention and initial response measures.

• Conducts the Duties and responsibilities associated with the Metal Detector.

• Fingerprints and Child Abuse clearance required before starting paid for by Trinity Health if offered a position.
