Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and property through vigilant observation and response under the guidance of a Security Manager or Lead Officer.

Ideal candidates may have security, law enforcement, or military backgrounds; experience in healthcare environments is preferred or may be substituted by related coursework. Driving may be required, with proof of license and insurance as requested.

Qualifications

• Security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must comply with driving laws and provide proof of driver license upon request.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred or related coursework may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer.
• Performs security duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from hazards and illegal entry.

Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree
• 1 year of Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or 2 years of responsible work experience and prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Related college coursework may substitute for 1 year of experience.
