Job summary

Our Lady of Consolation, part of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe and respectful environment for residents, staff, and visitors in a nursing home setting.

You will monitor access, perform routine inspections, patrol premises, and respond to incidents with de-escalation and professional communication. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and collaboration with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Security License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, nursing home, or residential facility security strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of emergency response, de-escalation techniques, and access control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Basic computer skills for report writing and incident documentation.

Salary Range

USD $29.40 - USD $29.40 /Hr.

The pay for this position is $29.40 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
