Job summary

Catholic Health is seeking a Security Guard at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, NY. You will monitor access, respond to incidents, patrol facilities, and support fire safety and staff training while upholding a compassionate, secure environment.

The ideal candidate holds a NYS Security Guard License or active law enforcement status, a NY driver's license, and BLS/AED certification, with strong communication skills and hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• NYS Security Guard License or Active Duty Law Enforcement is required.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License is required.
• BLS & AED Certification is required.

• Responding promptly to emergencies and security incidents
• Controlling facility access and ensuring only authorized personnel enter
• Conducting regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas

• Conducting regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Assisting with fire safety inspections and staff education
• Providing courteous support and assistance to patients, staff, and visitors

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• NYS Security Guard License OR Active Duty Law Enforcement required
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required
• BLS & AED Certification required
• One year of security experience preferred (hospital setting a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary Range

Starting from USD $31.16/Hr.
