In this role, your ability to read the environment, anticipate risks, and act accordingly is crucial. We value your keen sense of observation—tell us how it is one of your greatest strengths.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential, as you will be moving throughout your shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, and more.

What’s in it for you:

• Site Location: Merriam, KS
• Set Schedule: Two full-time shifts available
  • Friday through Tuesday, 3rd Shift, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
  • Saturday through Sunday, 2nd Shift, 4 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Wednesday through Thursday, 3rd Shift, 12 a.m. to 8 a.m.
• Competitive hourly wage of $19/hour (DailyPay available for GardaWorld employees)

Responsibilities of a Tactical Security Guard:

• Patrol sensitive areas to detect suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React swiftly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety of individuals and property

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years or older
• Valid driver’s license required
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED documentation required
• Ability to pass an extensive screening process
• First aid certification is a plus
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus
• State license if required
