Job summary

Allied Universal in Washington, DC is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Situational Assessment to protect clients across education and other sectors. You will monitor, patrol, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service on campus.

Requirements include being at least 18 (21 for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, successful background check, drug screen, and licensing as required. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence halls, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and support access-control procedures for academic facilities, events, and restricted areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate campus personnel.
