Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Flex Patrol Rover in Framingham, MA to safeguard clients across industries. This part-time flex role offers a schedule that fits your life and responsibilities, with on-site patrols and attentive customer service in a retail-focused environment.

You’ll monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms, document activity, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, entrances, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious behavior to site leadership.
• Complete required reports and communicate updates to supervision and on-site management.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support store teams and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to alarms and access control needs as required, document activity, and contribute to a caring culture where Allied Universal is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by teamwork and integrity.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with conflict de-escalation and contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site leadership per established procedures.
• Complete required reports such as incident reports and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and on-site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
