Job summary

Allied Universal in Winthrop, ME is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Operations to provide reliable, flexible security coverage with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $22.28 per hour, with a schedule on Thursdays from 06:00 AM to 02:00 PM. Role offers income stability and potential to scale up to more hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution location, including building interiors, loading areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitor entry according to site procedures, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Observe and report unusual activity, damaged property, hazards, and policy violations to help deter unauthorized activity and support site operations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Operations in Winthrop, ME, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule: Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
