Job summary

Allied Universal in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Security Officer – Patrol Driver with a DoD Secret clearance to safeguard aerospace/defense locations. This part-time role offers schedule flexibility and the opportunity to earn through on-site patrols, incident reporting, and visitor access control.

You will perform regular patrols, monitor entrances, document observations, and coordinate with site contacts.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while following site-specific procedures and access requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter security incidents.
• Control access at entrances and designated checkpoints by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, coordinated action and notifications.
• Document daily activities, patrol findings, and incident details in reports or systems and communicate updates during shift changes.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors while following site-specific procedures and access requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access at entrances and designated checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials as directed, and maintaining required entry and/or exit logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document daily activities, patrol findings, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.l>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws & regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
