Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Goldsboro, NC. You will patrol and safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites, maintaining a visible presence and assisting visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout retail areas, parking lots, exteriors, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions or policy violations and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking support, and incident documentation per procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, document activity using computer or tablet technology, and support a positive environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior walkways, and the property perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, policy violations, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, traffic and parking support, and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
