Job summary

Allied Universal in Boston, MA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Documentation Security Officer to safeguard clients in financial institutions and other sites. You will maintain a visible presence, monitor access, and document activity using our technology while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include patrolling interior and exterior areas, responding to incidents and alarms, verifying visitor credentials, and logging events.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a professional presence while supporting security-related procedures throughout the location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
