Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, has a part-time Security Officer role in Arlington, VA. You will patrol, monitor access points, respond to alarms, and deliver professional customer service while supporting security operations with integrity.

The position offers flexible hours with a pay rate of 21.75 USD per hour and a schedule including Friday and Saturday evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, access points, and exterior perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and vendor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and communicate with site contacts and responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate patrol and incident reports in a professional corporate environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, access points, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and unusual activities while maintaining a professional presence in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
