Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel Operator in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a residential community, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding service to residents and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to concerns, and contribute to a caring workplace built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.95 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:30 PMFri06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:30 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and property staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations, and document and report observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, and incident reporting to help maintain an orderly residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
