Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, use computer or tablet tools as needed, and support Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity or irregular conditions.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
