• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured gates, and other security-related conditions according to site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Santa Margarita, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report maintenance concerns, hazards, damaged fencing, unsecured gates, and other security-related conditions according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
