Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Patrol in Mount Vernon, WA. You will patrol unarmed, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service while supporting government and other client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and policies.

• Respond to incidents calmly and follow reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and public areas, document observations and incidents, and communicate with site contacts or emergency responders.

As a Security Officer - Patrol in Mount Vernon, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. You will help support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns and documenting activities. Pay Rate: $22.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Tue 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Wed 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 01:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, and surrounding perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and public areas, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
