Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol in Lewes, DE for part-time shifts on Saturdays and Sundays to provide exceptional customer service and secure government locations. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, report incidents, and maintain professional communications with visitors and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and potential drug screening. A valid driver’s license is only required for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations will be conducted as per all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees and the public while following site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear activity reports and communicate observations to leadership and site representatives.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with visitors and personnel. You will report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun: 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals to appropriate locations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
