Job summary

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, drivers, vendors, and visitors at a retail distribution location by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify entry, observe vehicle and pedestrian activity, and report irregular conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner following emergency procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
