Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Patrol in Hagerstown, MD. Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to associates, drivers, vendors, and visitors at a retail distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry, observe vehicle and pedestrian activity, and report irregular conditions per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner following established procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
