Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Xray Screening Security Officer in New Orleans, LA. You will monitor access points, screen visitors, and support access control at a retail location, delivering courteous service and a safe environment.

Key responsibilities include maintaining logs, patrolling designated areas, and responding to incidents calmly while following escalation procedures. A minimum of 1 year security experience and a high school diploma are preferred; guard licenses and driving

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law; compliant with regulations.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Screen individuals and permitted items entering the retail location in accordance with established procedures, reporting prohibited items or irregularities to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Maintain accurate screening-related logs and documentation, including visitor, delivery, and incident information as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas and the perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri 08:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Sat 08:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Sun 06:00 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
