Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Vehicle Patrol. You will safeguard clients across cultural institutions and similar environments, provide customer service, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

The role offers a fixed part-time schedule with shifts on Wed, Thu, and Fri from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with opportunities to use our Shift-claim platform to adjust your roster.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in security-related roles.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted as per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests at a cultural institution, following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per site procedures.
• Monitor access points, direct visitors, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document patrol activities and incidents, communicating to site contacts and leadership.

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and guests at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors, supporting orderly entry and exit, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in security-related roles is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
