Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Utilities Rover) for Palm Beach Gardens, FL. You will safeguard clients across utilities locations, perform patrols, monitor access points, and maintain records with a people-first approach.

This role offers flexible scheduling with DayTime shifts on weekends and opportunities to work with a leading security team that values integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required per policy.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening will be conducted as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities through clear and accurate reports and shift logs.

This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and support site operations with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required
• Experience with access control and badge processes is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
