Job summary

Allied Universal in Winchester, KY is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor perimeter, assist employees and visitors, and deter security incidents. You will leverage our shift platform to build a workable schedule and help create a welcoming environment.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sat 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity and support the protection of utility infrastructure, equipment, and property through visible patrol presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
