Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) for a financial institution in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on visible presence, incident response, and exceptional customer service to deter security incidents.

You'll schedule shifts through our Claim a Shift platform and join a team that values integrity and teamwork. Requirements include being at least 18, HS diploma, and background/drug screening per law.

Qualifications

• Requires CPR certification preferred; and ability to pass background check and drug screen.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site requirements, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain orderly operations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and promptly communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
