Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Saint Louis, MO. You will provide a visible security presence, deter incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors while delivering welcoming customer service at a campus site.

Position offers part-time daytime/weekend shifts with training and growth opportunities. Requires minimum 6 months security experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
