Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts at a designated site with a six-month commitment and the ability to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Saint Louis, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

DayTimeSun11:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate campus personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
