Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Miami, FL. You will patrol retail areas, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service to guests, tenants, and staff while upholding site policies. A background check and drug screen are required, with licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in retail/common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity and potential hazards; report observations per procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally; contact appropriate personnel or responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with site management.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, exterior walkways, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards, and report observations according to site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communication with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
