Qualifications

As a Security Officer supporting a government aviation location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $18.47 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aviation facility.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and/or suspicious items, and report observations through established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate airport personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
• Control access to restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site-specific procedures, verify credentials when assigned, and maintain accurate activity reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
