Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Alpharetta, GA. You will perform patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors at a technology location. This role requires a valid driver’s license and CPR certification is preferred.

You will work several night shifts on a weekly schedule and join a team that emphasizes safety, reliability, and community service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry/exit points, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, assist guests with directions and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate with site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, entry and exit points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification, guest directions, and escalation of access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
