Allied Universal, West Chester, PA, is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer with CPR certification to monitor healthcare and other facilities. You will drive as needed, provide exceptional service, and maintain a visible security presence during night shifts.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with leadership and responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct visitors.
• Document incidents and patrol observations accurately following reporting procedures.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Pre-Employment Requirements

• Contractual Obligations:
  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is a mandatory requirement for all positions that involve driving as part of the job responsibilities.
• Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application (C101). This requirement is in place to comply with legal regulations and to ensure that all employees are of legal age to perform their job responsibilities.
• Additional Qualifications (Beneficial to Position):
  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Familiarity with access control systems and badge management.
  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Experience in operating and managing alarm panel systems.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks and communication.
  • CPR Certification (B205): Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, which is beneficial for roles involving safety and emergency response.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service roles, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and appropriate responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials, direct visitors, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Document incidents, patrol observations, and unusual activities accurately and promptly, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
