Allied Universal in Friendswood, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Coverage to provide dependable hours at a fixed site and support our team.

Pay rate is $15.00 per hour with scheduled shifts Tue 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM and Sun 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM. The role offers anchor shifts and the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform for greater earnings.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screening per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot/vehicle patrols throughout the location to identify and report unusual activity or concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and in line with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter theft and unauthorized entry.
• Prepare clear incident and patrol reports per Allied Universal requirements.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Coverage in Friendswood, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter theft, unauthorized entry, and other security‑related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
