Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Deterrence to protect clients across logistics and distribution settings. You will patrol, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, vehicle gates, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
