Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other events calmly and per site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with campus policies and assist with directions.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with leadership and site contacts.

You will communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while responding to concerns and documenting observations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.03 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with campus policies, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
