Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Customer Support) in Suffolk, VA. You'll monitor and protect site personnel, visitors, and vendors while delivering exceptional customer service in a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.

You will support access control, respond to incidents, and perform patrols with a visible security presence, contributing to a safe and welcoming workplace. The schedule is part-time with evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Access control and badge handling preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observations, incidents, and changing site conditions.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
