Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in High Point, NC. You will monitor and patrol retail locations, provide customer service, and respond to security concerns using tablets. The position offers flexible day shifts: Fri, Sat, Sun 4:30 PM–11:00 PM.

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail location including floors, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and policy violations to deter theft and other issues.
• Complete accurate activity reports and shift communications per site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel to help deter theft, loss, and other security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
