Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in El Segundo, CA to protect tenants, visitors and clients at a commercial real estate location.

As a part-time role, you will build a flexible schedule, perform unarmed patrols, respond to incidents, monitor access, and document shifts while adhering to site procedures and safety standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+ with a HS diploma, may need a guard card, and will undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors in a commercial real estate location per site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and property concerns, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, parking areas, common areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the property, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior or issues to site management.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicating security information to incoming personnel and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant security-related information to incoming personnel and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
