Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a Part-time Security Officer (Unarmed) to monitor and safeguard patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare environment. You will patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and provide friendly, professional service using a tablet or computer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $20.46 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat03:00 PM - 09:00 PM Sun03:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout clinical areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
